The Lead, Materials Management coordinates the procurement of all goods and services for the long-term acute care facility who care for patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric adults over 65 years of age experiencing medically complex conditions, physical/pulmonary rehabilitation and wound care needs.
The Lead, Materials Management duties include:
Procurement is at the most favorable price consistent with quality, service, availability and using national contracts as appropriate.
Evaluating market conditions and trends, developing purchasing arrangements that are communicated to user departments, establishing and maintaining a par level of supplies, monitoring daily charges, placing orders and processing requisitions.
Manages rental equipment and ensures facility equipment availability, maintenance and cleanliness.
Performs additonal duties assigned.
Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) years of supervisory experience in healthcare materials management including buyer experience.
HMS experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
