We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant or aNurse Practitioner who has an interest in Neurosurgery to join our practice. Duties include patient assessments in office and hospitalsettingsTake patient histories, conduct physical examinations, anddevelop treatment plansComplete daily rounds in hospital including writing progressnotes, dictate history & physical, and dictate discharge as First Assist with neurosurgical procedures. Operations cover the brain, spine, andperipheral nerve.Order and interpret laboratory and radiological studiesActively reviews all imaging studies; X-rays, CTs, and MRIscans in conjunction with physicianCall coverage is required
### Skills / Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program required.
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of MedicalExaminers or Board of Nursing required.Nurse Practitioners will need to be RNFA CertifiedBLS and ACLS Certified required.
