The Accounting
supervisor
will coordinate the company's monthly close process, review general ledger accounts, prepare adjusting journal entries, perform account analysis and reconciliations, maintain the general ledger of accounts, assist in the initial internal controls evaluations, identify and post monthly, quarterly, and year-end accruals. This
position
will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all financial accounts in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), supporting the annual financial statements audit process and state regulatory examinations.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in assuring the accounting and cash management processes policies are in compliance with general accepted accounting principles, state and federal regulations, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing accounting entries.
Process bi-weekly payroll.
Manage the Property, Plant, and Equipment detail Ledgers to include Accumulated Depreciation.
Manage the proper accounting of intangible assets.
Reconcile and pay all company credit cards.
Review expense reports and approve disbursements for expense reports.
Enters and tracks all checking account information into QuickBooks
Assist in supporting financial statement audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
Responsible for the Company Accounts Payable, Invoicing, and Payment Process.
Maintain 401K Accounts.
Ensure payments and reports are processed for clients.
Manage a staff of 2 Staff Accountants.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university; or equivalent work experience and education.
Certified Public Accountant or CPA Candidate preferred.
Experience
3 - 5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
Public Accounting experience preferred.

Knowledge
Knowledge of accounting, internal controls, and account validation.
Practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Ability to learn and understand federal and state financial regulations
Preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports, information systems, and risk management
Correcting inconsistencies, establishing accounting processes, and maintaining up to date policies and procedures.
Skills
Effective professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Establish a good working relationship with subordinates, peers, and management
Continuously strive to improve the level of overall service being provided
MS Excel at an intermediate level required
MS Word at an intermediate level required
MS Outlook at an intermediate level required.
QuickBooks at an intermediate level required.
Abilities
Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several tasks
Ability to comply with rules, regulations, laws and methods as related to debt collection
Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
Ability to undergo and pass a federal background check
Working Conditions
Work may require frequent weekend and evening work.
